Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in East London. The successful candidate will work on various infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and water supply systems. This role requires both technical expertise and a passion for making a difference in local communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the construction of civil engineering projects ensuring quality and safety.
  • Assist in the preparation of design calculations and detailed drawings.
  • Participate in project meetings with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct material procurement and manage project budgets.
  • Evaluate and mitigate project risks and challenges.
  • Prepare and present project updates to management.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior engineers.
  • Monitor site work and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with clients and contractors.
  • Facilitate and participate in site inspections and audits.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree is a plus
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in civil engineering or related field
