Information Assurance Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Information Assurance Analyst to join our cybersecurity team in Sandton. This role will involve assessing and mitigating security risks while collaborating with various departments to enhance our information protection initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance current security measures implemented across the organization.
• Develop incident response plans and coordinate external communication during a breach.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and other relevant cybersecurity standards.
• Participate in security audits and assist during vulnerability assessments.
• Work with project managers to embed security in the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct internal security audits and penetration testing.
• Assist in maintaining the security information and event management (SIEM) system.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.
• Foster a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on information assurance

Certifications

• Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

Languages
