Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced IT Security Consultant to join our cybersecurity team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of security protocols and regulations, with the ability to implement effective security measures across various IT landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Manage security incidents and provide timely resolution.
• Develop cybersecurity awareness materials for staff training.
• Ensure adherence to industry regulations and standards.
• Maintain security documentation and remain current with updates.
• Work with vendors to keep security tools up to date.
• Participate in security drills and planning sessions.
• Advise on best practices for data protection and risk management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Cybersecurity
• Master's degree in Information Security is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in IT security consulting or related fields
