We are seeking a compassionate Home Health Aide to join our team in Durban. The ideal candidate will assist patients with daily living activities and provide companionship, ensuring a high quality of life for those under care.

Responsibilities

• Help patients with personal hygiene and grooming.
• Monitor and document health changes and patient progress.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social outings.
• Maintain accurate records of patient care.
• Engage patients in conversation to enhance their mental health.
• Follow care plans as specified by healthcare professionals.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Certification in nursing assistance is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience as a Home Health Aide or similar role

• Geriatric Care
• Patient Monitoring

Certifications

• Advanced Home Health Aide Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Certification in Palliative Care: Additional skills in providing end-of-life care.
• Driver's License: A valid driver’s license for transporting patients when needed.
