Pharmacist

Job Description

Looking for a Pharmacist to deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care in Durban. You will manage patient prescriptions, engage in health promotion activities, and collaborate with medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret prescriptions for accuracy.
• Educate patients on medication usage and potential side effects.
• Support the management of chronic diseases through medication management.
• Contribute to staff training and development within the pharmacy.
• Assist in inventory management and stock control.
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace.
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve medication-related issues.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of pharmacy experience

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy
• Medication Management

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Registered Pharmacist in South Africa
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting: Prior experience in a clinical or hospital environment is beneficial.
• Knowledge of herbal and alternative medicines: Understanding of natural health products and their interactions.
