Transportation Planner

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Transportation Planner to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop transportation plans that enhance public transit systems by analyzing data, assessing community needs, and optimizing routes and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze transportation data to identify gaps and opportunities for service improvements.
• Design innovative transit solutions that integrate with existing systems and meet community needs.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to discuss existing issues and gather input for planning.
• Review and assess the impact of transportation policies and regulations on public transit.
• Develop visual presentations and graphic materials for stakeholder engagement.
• Support project management activities to ensure timely and on-budget delivery of transit plans.
• Collaborate with GIS professionals to maximize the use of geographic data in planning.
• Evaluate and report on project outcomes to guide future transportation initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Transportation Engineering, Geography, or a related field
• Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a related field
