Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Ladle Liner Helper to assist in the maintenance and lining of ladles used in the steel industry. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring the ladles are properly prepared and maintained for optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in ladle inspection processes and cleaning protocols.
  • Assist in preparing refractory materials essential for ladle linings.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any lining repairs needed.
  • Monitor the curing processes of ladles post-lining.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety protocols by actively participating in safety training.
  • Help maintain equipment used in handling ladles.
  • Follow directives and complete tasks as outlined by the supervising Ladle Liner.
  • Report any safety or operational concerns immediately.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members to enhance workflow.

Requirements

Education
  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Relevant technical certification or training in metallurgy is advantageous
Experience
  • Prior experience in a similar role within the steel industry is preferred but not mandatory
