Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Public Health Specialist with a background in community health and program management. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to improve health systems, policies, and community welfare in the Western Cape region.

Responsibilities

  • Lead public health initiatives that target specific health issues prevalent in the community.
  • Perform needs assessments and facilitate community consultations.
  • Document and report on the outcomes of public health programs.
  • Analyze epidemiological data to inform program planning and policy-making.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions on public health practices.
  • Build community capacity to address their own health concerns.
  • Promote awareness and knowledge of public health issues through media and public speaking.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure compliance with grant requirements.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences or related field
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications are highly desirable
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in public health program management
