Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and analyzing structural systems, with experience in both commercial and residential projects. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage structural engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Conduct load calculations and stability analysis for various materials.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions.
• Assess and mitigate potential risks in projects.
• Support environmental sustainability initiatives in project designs.
• Participate in value engineering and life-cycle assessment.
• Conduct peer reviews of designs and structural analyses.
• Facilitate project meetings and ensure effective communication.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering

• Tekla Structures
• Civil 3D

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• National Certificate in Construction
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
