Prepress Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Prepress Technician to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing digital files for lithographic printing, ensuring that all prints meet the highest standards of quality and precision.

Responsibilities

• Operate prepress software and hardware to prepare print files.
• Ensure files are correctly imposed and ready for printing.
• Conduct tests to validate colour accuracy and print quality.
• Work with various materials and substrates to enhance printing outcomes.
• Assist with the training of junior prepress staff.
• Monitor the prepress workflow to identify areas for improvement.
• Support the production manager in meeting deadlines and quality targets.
• Prepare job tickets and communicate specifications to the production team.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma in Printing Technology or related field
• Certification in prepress processes is a plus

Experience

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in printing technology or prepress

• Digital Printing Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Proficiency in offset printing techniques: Experience in offset printing processes and protocols.
