Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and implementing cloud solutions, with a focus on enhancing our DevOps practices and optimizing infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies and industry trends.
• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop disaster recovery plans.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards of code quality.
• Facilitate training sessions to promote cloud best practices within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud platforms and DevOps practices

Technical Skills

• Azure
• Microservices Architecture

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with monitoring tools: Experience with tools like Prometheus, Grafana for monitoring cloud environments.
