Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Actuary to join our team in Durban. In this role, you will leverage your analytical skills to assess risk, develop insurance models, and contribute to pricing strategies. A successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in statistical analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development of risk assessment methodologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or equivalent
• Advanced Actuarial Exams completed is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in the insurance industry or consulting

Technical Skills

• Predictive Modeling
• Data Interpretation

Soft Skills

• Time Management

Certifications

• Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) or equivalent

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with actuarial software such as Prophet or MoSes: Hands-on experience with industry-standard actuarial software for model building.
