Responsibilities

• Provide drug utilization reviews and evaluate therapies.
• Act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers.
• Handle medication inquiries and resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Participate in quality improvement projects within the pharmacy.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• Postgraduate qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in community pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Medication Therapy Management
• Clinical Pharmacy Skills

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Communication Skills

Certifications

• Advanced Pharmacotherapy Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse patient population.
• Experience in training pharmacy staff: Experience in mentoring and training junior pharmacy staff.
