Job Description

We are on the lookout for a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter who is passionate about evaluating client applications and risks. In this role, you will analyze data, consult with insurance agents, and make sound recommendations based on your findings. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and will be skilled in predictive analytics to optimize policy coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough background checks and assessments on applicants.
• Evaluate industry-specific risk factors to inform decision-making.
• Provide insights on policy development and enhancements.
• Create reports summarizing risk assessments and recommendations.
• Maintain a professional relationship with agents for seamless communication.
• Facilitate the underwriting process to enhance client satisfaction.
• Review claims data to mitigate future risks associated with underwriting.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related discipline
• Master's degree in Insurance or Risk Management is advantageous

Experience

• 4-6 years of experience in underwriting or risk management roles

Certifications

• Fellow, Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS)
• Associate in Reinsurance (ARe)
