Job Description

We are seeking a proactive IT Support Technician to join our Bloemfontein team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of IT systems and a knack for troubleshooting technical issues. You will be responsible for maintaining the network infrastructure and providing technical support to staff.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to user support requests and provide solutions in a timely manner.
  • Conduct regular maintenance checks on IT equipment.
  • Assist in the setup of new users and their systems.
  • Compile reports on IT support activities and user feedback.
  • Identify and escalate potential hardware or software issues.
  • Liaise with third-party support providers to resolve complex issues.
  • Assist in inventory management of hardware and software assets.
  • Document troubleshooting processes and maintain knowledge base.
  • Participate in training sessions to improve IT skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, etc.) are advantageous.
Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or related role.
