Job Description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing exceptional tech support to our users. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Assist in the setup of new computers and network devices.
• Coordinate with external vendors for support needs.
• Document work performed in a ticketing system.
• Conduct regular audits of IT infrastructure.
• Backup and restore data as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in IT support roles

Technical Skills

• Linux Administration
• Customer Service Orientation

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with virtualization technologies: Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V for virtual machine management.
