Job Description

The Cutting and Slicing Machine Setter, Operator, and Tender will be responsible for the precise cutting and preparation of leather materials for the production of high-quality leather goods. You will be an essential part of our manufacturing process, ensuring that every piece meets the desired specifications.

Responsibilities

• Use cutting tools to shape and cut leather according to pattern specifications.
• Ensure accuracy and precision in cutting to minimise waste.
• Inspect leather for quality and defects.
• Maintain and calibrate cutting tools.
• Work with the sewing team to ensure timely production.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines in the cutting process.
• Keep work area clean and orderly.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Preference for candidates with certification in Leather Cutting or related field

Experience

• 1-3 years of experience in leather cutting or related field preferred

Technical Skills

• Laser cutting tools operation
• Die cutting machines operation

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Team player

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with laser cutting machines: Hands-on experience with laser cutting technology is advantageous.
• Experience in the manufacturing industry: Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a benefit.
