Core Paster

Job Description

We are looking for a Core Paster to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in pasting and binding operations for the production of books and journals. They will be responsible for ensuring that the core of the books is prepared according to specifications and will be proficient in using various pasting machines and bookbinding tools.

Responsibilities

• Mix and prepare the paste used in binding book cores.
• Monitor the quality and consistency of the paste, adjusting as necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely production.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines during operations.
• Document production data and report to the supervisor.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in bookbinding or related field is preferred

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in pasting and binding operations, preferably in the publishing industry

Advantageous

• Experience in quality control processes: Knowledge and ability to implement quality control measures during production.
