Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist to join our team in Sandton. The candidate will play a critical role in the design, analysis, and implementation of structural engineering projects. You will work closely with structural engineers and project managers to ensure the successful completion of innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyse structural components for new building projects.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure integration of structural and architectural designs.
• Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders.
• Oversee the performance of structural tests and inspections.
• Assist in the preparation of project cost estimates and budgets.
• Develop and maintain project documentation and records.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering roles

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• Finite Element Analysis
• Construction Management

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

• Attention to Detail

Advantageous

• Experience in Seismic Design: Knowledge of seismic considerations in structural design.
• Familiarity with Geotechnical Engineering: Experience with collaboration in geotechnical elements of construction.
