We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing chemical processes, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. You will work collaboratively with product development teams to enhance product performance and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop chemical processes for production while ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Conduct experiments and process simulations to optimize chemical reactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for production challenges.
• Analyze data to improve process efficiency and product quality.
• Implement and monitor safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations regarding project progress.
• Participate in troubleshooting and resolving engineering issues.
• Support project management activities to ensure timely execution.
• Evaluate technologies and materials for use in production.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process engineering
