Job Description

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our talented team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This role involves collaboration on various projects while contributing to the overall success of our engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on project designs and ensure they meet technical and budgetary constraints.
• Test and assess electrical systems for compliance with safety standards.
• Manage project schedules and maintain regular communication with stakeholders.
• Provide recommendations for improvements and optimizations in electrical systems.
• Assist in the development of proposals and respond to client inquiries.
• Contribute to team meetings and provide input on strategic decisions.
• Actively participate in professional development and training initiatives.
• Maintain accurate records of project documentation and engineering change orders.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
• Support other departments as needed with engineering expertise.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering projects.

Technical Skills

• Electrical Safety Regulations
• Energy Management Systems

Certifications

• Certified Energy Manager (CEM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs): Hands-on experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Experience with energy modelling software: Familiarity with electrical simulation and energy modelling tools.
