Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) has arisen in our healthcare facility. The LVN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' health status and document findings.
  • Deliver medications and maintain treatment plans under supervision.
  • Engage in patient education regarding health management.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout care delivery.
  • Participate in care planning and implementation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Assist in maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Be alert to patient needs and respond appropriately.
  • Document patient care activities accurately.
  • Contribute to staff meetings and share best practices.

Requirements

Education
  • Valid South African Nursing Council registration as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Completion of a recognized LVN training program
Experience
  • Experience in carrying out wound care and dressing changes is preferred.

  • Knowledge of specialized medical equipment: Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in patient care.
