Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in our engineering team by analyzing, designing, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other structures. Your ability to interpret complex design specifications will be essential in ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions for structural problems.
• Review design calculations and ensure accuracy.
• Support the construction team with structural expertise.
• Document all stages of project plans and changes.
• Mentor junior staff and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Engage in client presentations and project updates.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies for project approvals.
• Monitor project milestones and resolve any issues promptly.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in the field of structural engineering

• Structural Analysis Tools

Certifications

• SANS 10160 Compliance Training
• ISO 9001 Auditor Certification is advantageous

Languages

• English: Fluent
