Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
• Conduct financial audits and internal assessments to ensure fiscal integrity.
• Collaborate with management to develop financial strategies.
• Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws.
• Assist with financial modeling and scenario planning.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Maintain banking relationships and manage cash flow.
• Implement accounting software and technology solutions.
• Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities and revenue growth.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Master's degree in Accounting or relevant certification would be an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in management accounting is preferred
