Social Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting individuals and families in need, providing counseling, case management, and crisis intervention services. You will collaborate with community organizations to ensure that clients receive the best support possible.

Responsibilities

• Assess and address client needs through individual and group counseling sessions.
• Develop and implement intervention strategies to support clients effectively.
• Collaborate with external agencies to coordinate care and resources.
• Document client progress and outcomes in accordance with organizational policies.
• Assist clients in navigating social service programs and accessing benefits.
• Provide education and support to clients regarding their rights and available resources.
• Facilitate workshops and community outreach programs aimed at prevention and awareness.
• Engage in crisis response efforts, providing immediate support when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
• Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss cases and strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW)
• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) highly regarded

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a social work environment
