Job Description

As a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), you will provide vital respiratory care services to patients according to physician orders. Your role is crucial in ensuring effective treatment and monitoring of respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pulmonary function tests and other diagnostic tests to assess respiratory function.
• Implement and adjust respiratory treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care and disease management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures.
• Participate in team meetings, contributing to the improvement of care services.

Requirements

Education

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
• Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT)
