Investment Banking Analyst

Job Description

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Investment Banking Analyst to join our Cape Town office. In this role, you will provide analytical support in the execution of transactions and assist with the preparation of financial models and pitch materials. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers and develop your skills in financial analysis, valuation, and market research.

Responsibilities

• Conduct valuations of companies and assets using various financial metrics.
• Develop financial models to forecast future performance and aid in decision-making.
• Conduct due diligence on potential investments and partnerships.
• Support senior colleagues with transaction negotiations and stakeholder engagement.
• Help develop innovative financial solutions to meet client requirements.
• Track market developments and suggest adjustments to strategy based on findings.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Financial Services or related field
• Master's degree in Business Administration or Finance is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years working in roles within banking, financial analysis, or related areas

Certifications

• CFA Level I

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in financial modeling software: Familiarity with financial software such as FactSet or Bloomberg.
