Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and creative Interior Designer to join our Johannesburg team. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing design projects that meet client needs while adhering to budget and timelines. Your expertise in design principles and trends will be essential in delivering exceptional quality and innovative solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients and contractors to bring visions to life, ensuring a balance between form and function.

Responsibilities

• Create innovative and functional interior layouts that reflect client aspirations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion.
• Collaborate with project teams to align design visions with project goals.
• Prepare and present design concepts to clients, incorporating their feedback.
• Select furnishings, textiles, and materials that suit project needs and budgets.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for potential projects.
• Keep detailed records of project progress, including design changes and client communications.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors, ensuring smooth project execution.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or related discipline
• Additional qualifications in project management are advantageous

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in residential and commercial design

Technical Skills

• 3D Studio Max
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Fluency in Afrikaans or other local languages: Ability to communicate effectively with diverse client demographics.
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations: Understanding of compliance issues specific to the Gauteng province.
