Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Social Worker to join our passionate team in Bloemfontein. The ideal candidate will engage with individuals and families facing various social challenges, providing support and guidance to help them navigate their situations. Your role will include conducting assessments, developing intervention plans, and collaborating with community resources.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate client needs through home visits and community assessments.
• Design individualized support plans and monitor their implementation.
• Promote clients' rights and assist them in navigating systems.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and various social services agencies.
• Participate in community initiatives aimed at improving social welfare.
• Provide crisis intervention support as needed.
• Engage in continuous training and stay abreast of social work best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field
• Master's degree in Social Work is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of direct social work experience

• Crisis Intervention

Certifications

• Registered Social Worker
• Trauma-Informed Care Training

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Sesotho: Basic
