Job Description

We are in search of a passionate Mental Health Professional to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to assess, diagnose, and treat a range of mental health issues. You will work collaboratively with clients to develop tailored treatment plans aimed at promoting mental wellness and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose mental health disorders using appropriate assessment tools.
• Implement therapeutic strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
• Collaborate with case managers and social workers to coordinate care for clients.
• Provide support and resources to families dealing with mental health issues.
• Conduct workshops and activities aimed at promoting mental wellness within the community.
• Document client progress and prepare reports for clinical reviews.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss client cases and treatment strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Counseling or Psychology
• Advanced certifications in mental health preferred

Experience

• 3+ years working in a clinical or community mental health setting

• Crisis Intervention

Certifications

• Mental Health First Aid Certification

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
