Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Pretoria team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in shaping the structural integrity of our projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and implementing structural systems that are safe, sustainable, and cost-effective, ensuring all designs meet local building codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative structural designs that meet client needs.
• Perform advanced structural simulations and analyses.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams on large-scale projects.
• Assist in the training and development of junior engineers.
• Conduct feasibility studies and evaluations for new projects.
• Provide expert advice on structural materials and technologies.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand project requirements.
• Participate in construction meetings and site visits.
• Prepare project presentations and technical documentation.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in structural projects

Technical Skills

• Civil 3D
• Structural Engineering Codes

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) (preferred)
• Certified Engineering Technician (CET) (optional)

Languages

• English: Fluent
