Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Petroleum Engineer to join our dynamic team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating oil and gas deposits and developing plans to extract these resources efficiently. You will collaborate with geologists and other engineers to create effective drilling programs, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Research and apply new technologies to improve drilling processes.
• Provide technical support to drilling crews on-site.
• Prepare projections for future energy needs and explore sustainable alternatives.
• Collaborate with regulators to ensure adherence to policies.
• Compile and present findings to stakeholders.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks associated with drilling.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree in a relevant field is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in petroleum or related engineering
