Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic support, assess client needs, and develop tailored treatment plans to enhance emotional well-being. You will work closely with clients to address various mental health issues, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments and identify client goals.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions focusing on client needs.
• Monitor and document client progress and outcomes.
• Collaborate with other therapists and professionals for comprehensive care.
• Design and deliver psycho-educational programs.
• Perform follow-ups with clients post-treatment.
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in mental health.
• Manage case documentation in compliance with regulations.
• Attend supervision sessions to ensure best therapeutic practices.
• Develop resources for client use during therapy.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work or related field
• Professional registration preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of direct counseling experience
