Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in safeguarding our systems and data from cyber threats. This position requires a proactive approach to identify vulnerabilities and implement effective security measures.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance existing security controls across the organization.
• Conduct security awareness training for employees.
• Implement and manage security information and event management (SIEM) systems.
• Work with external teams to perform penetration testing.
• Support in the design and implementation of security architecture.
• Develop regular security reports for stakeholders.
• Supervise junior cybersecurity staff.
• Participate in security-focused projects and initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles

• CompTIA Security+
