We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Operations Director to lead our operations in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing transportation planning and logistics, ensuring efficiency and compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee the logistics strategy to ensure optimal transportation operations.

• Implement best practices in logistics and transportation management.

• Prepare reports on operational performance and present to management.
• Train and mentor staff on operational efficiencies and safety standards.
• Drive initiatives to improve sustainability in freight operations.
• Utilize data analytics for route optimization and cost reduction.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• MBA or equivalent is preferred

• 8+ years in senior logistics or operations roles
