Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be a crucial part of our pharmacy team in Port Elizabeth. Your primary role will involve assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. You will work directly with patients, ensuring they understand their medications and follow proper guidelines. Candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, as well as a passion for healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Support the pharmacist in all aspects of pharmacy operation.
  • Respond to and resolve patient inquiries efficiently.
  • Assist in the management of prescription refill requests.
  • Help with the implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular checks on medication expiry dates.
  • Participate in community outreach programs related to health.
  • Document all patient interactions appropriately.
  • Assist with inventory audits and record-keeping.

Requirements

Education
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Bachelor's in Pharmacy is preferred
Experience
  • 2+ years of relevant pharmacy experience preferred
