Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mining Engineer to join our growing team in Polokwane. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mine planning and operations, and will play a key role in enhancing our mining operations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological assessments and produce detailed mining plans.
• Monitor and optimise production efficiency and cost management.
• Supervise safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the management team to drive operational improvements.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports.
• Handle project management tasks to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Engage with local communities and stakeholders to foster good relationships.
• Implement innovative techniques to enhance productivity and sustainability.
• Review and analyse production data to inform operational decision-making.
• Attend industry conferences and workshops to remain updated on mining trends.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, or related field
• Postgraduate studies in Mining Engineering preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in the mining industry
