Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with safety regulations while fostering a safety-first culture within our team. This role involves regular inspections, reporting on safety metrics, and offering training workshops to staff. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our mission to maintain a safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety committees.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of current safety protocols.
• Assist management in developing contingency plans.
• Prepare and present safety-related training materials.
• Identify training needs for employees regarding health and safety.
• Engage with employees to address safety concerns.
• Create and distribute safety literature.
• Collaborate with external safety consultants as needed.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 4+ years' experience in the public safety sector

• Occupational Health Knowledge

Certifications

• NEBOSH Certificate

Languages
