Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Gallery Curator to lead our exhibitions and programs at Artistry Collective in Pretoria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for curating dynamic and engaging art shows, collaborating with artists, and fostering community engagement through art initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative exhibition layouts that enhance the viewer's experience.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to promote artist engagement.
• Contribute to fundraising and grant writing for exhibition funding.
• Monitor gallery budgets and expenditure for exhibitions.
• Review and select artworks for inclusion in exhibits.
• Engage with critics for exhibition reviews and feedback.
• Prepare reports on exhibition outcomes and audience statistics.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Arts Management, Art History, or related discipline
• Master's degree in Arts Administration is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in gallery or art institution roles
