Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to interpret their vision for interior spaces.
• Generate comprehensive design proposals, including color schemes and material specifications.
• Deliver 3D visualizations and mood boards to clients for approvals.
• Oversee installation and implementation of design solutions.
• Foster relationships with suppliers and negotiate costs.
• Utilize design software for creating and modifying design layouts.
• Participate in design fairs and networking events to promote the firm.
• Adapt designs based on client feedback and site conditions.
• Research and recommend sustainable design practices.
• Conduct post-project evaluations to gather feedback for improvements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture or Design
• Further certification in sustainable design is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in commercial and residential projects

Technical Skills

• Interior Design Software
• Visual Merchandising

Certifications

• Certified Interior Designer (CID)
• Green Building Council South Africa Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
