Shoe Machine Operators and Tenders

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Shoe Machine Operator who will be responsible for setting up and operating stamping machines to produce metal products according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate should ensure machine performance is optimal and maintain the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate stamping machines to ensure the quality and efficiency of production processes.
• Perform regular inspections and troubleshooting on machines to ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve overall production quality.
• Maintain a detailed log of machine operations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training new operators and support team initiatives.
• Proactively identify areas for process improvement to enhance productivity.
• Engage in continuous learning to remain updated on industry best practices.
• Help maintain stock levels of necessary materials and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate or equivalent
• Technical or vocational training in metalworking or related field

Experience

• 1-2 years of experience as a Stamping Machine Operator or in a similar role

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience operating CNC machines: Familiarity with CNC machinery would be beneficial.
