IT Support Technician

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Technician to assist our clients in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a vital role in resolving technical issues, providing support for IT systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for IT support requests.
• Manage ticketing system and resolve issues efficiently.
• Conduct troubleshooting sessions with users to gather information and resolve issues.
• Assist with software installations and updates.
• Participate in IT projects to improve workflows and process efficiency.
• Manage user accounts and permissions for access to systems.
• Provide ongoing support and training to staff members.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Information Technology
• Additional certifications in networking or systems administration are preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of IT support experience

Technical Skills

• MacOS
• Virtualization technologies

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles: Understanding of cybersecurity best practices to help safeguard IT infrastructure.
