Join our dedicated team as a Tax Specialist, where you’ll oversee tax filings, engage in tax planning, and liaise with SARS. Your expertise in taxation will play a crucial role in helping our clients efficiently navigate their tax obligations and optimize their financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of clients' financials for tax implications.
• Respond to queries from SARS and ensure timely resolutions.
• Assist in merger & acquisition analysis from a tax perspective.
• Review international tax obligations for clients with global interests.
• Act as a liaison between clients and authorities in tax-related matters.
• Provide training for junior staff on tax regulations and planning.
• Draft tax technical papers and reports for senior management.
• Attend tax conferences to gather insights and best practices.
• Engage in community outreach to educate on taxation and compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics
• Postgraduate studies in Taxation are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a tax-focused environment

Technical Skills

• Internal Revenue Service (SARS) Regulations
• Financial Reporting

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Client Management

Certifications

• Tax Compliance Specialist
• Chartered Accountant (CA) is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with tax audits: Hands-on experience dealing with tax audits and assessments.
