Job Description

We are looking for a talented Data Engineer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of data architectures that facilitate data analytics and business intelligence functionalities. The role requires proficiency in data warehousing, ETL processes, and the ability to work with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data pipelines using modern ETL tools.
• Develop and maintain data architecture for effective data management.
• Ensure data quality and integrity across different data sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data needs.
• Optimize database performance for large-scale data processing.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline errors and malfunctions.
• Document data processes and principles for future references.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
• Master's degree is preferable

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in designing data solutions

• SQL
