Job Description

In the role of Structural Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to evaluate structural integrity and oversee the construction processes. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, while also optimizing for cost and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis using appropriate software.
• Engage with stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
• Develop original designs for various engineering projects.
• Perform calculations to determine load distribution and material strength.
• Prepare and submit reports detailing engineering evaluations.
• Participate in client meetings to discuss design concepts.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
• Oversee project progress and address any emerging issues.
• Track project budgets and supply expenses efficiently.
• Foster a collaborative work environment among team members.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural design and project management

Technical Skills

• SAP2000
• STAAD.Pro

Soft Skills

• Team Leadership
• Time Management

Certifications

• Precast Concrete Institute (PCI) Certification
• SANS 10400 Compliance Certificate

Languages

• English: Fluent
