Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst who is keen to join our innovative team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating security threats, ensuring that vital information assets are protected from potential breaches and risks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct security risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities.
• Research and implement the latest security technologies.
• Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security tools.
• Perform data encryption and protection strategies.
• Provide recommendations for improving overall security posture.
• Document security incidents and create action plans for remediation.
• Participate in security drills and exercises.
• Assist in compliance audits and risk assessments.
• Collaborate on cybersecurity awareness training for employees.
• Participate in the response to security breaches and incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity

• Threat analysis
• Malware analysis
• Penetration testing

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with security orchestration tools: Hands-on experience with security orchestration, automation, and response (SOAR) tools.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks: Knowledge of compliance regulations like HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
