Responsibilities

• Analyze quantitative data to assess risk and develop solutions.
• Work on various actuarial projects, closely monitoring results.
• Communicate complex technical results to a non-technical audience.
• Develop models to assess the solvency of insurance products.
• Assist in preparing pricing models and cost analysis.
• Support the design of tests to validate actuarial assumptions.
• Engage in peer reviews of actuarial analyses and calculations.
• Provide training and guidance to junior analysts.
• Document methodologies and ensure adherence to documentation standards.
• Participate in acts of community outreach as required.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics
• Professional actuarial qualifications preferable

Experience

• 3+ years in an actuarial environment focusing on risk analysis

Technical Skills

Certifications

• Fellow of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA)
