Looking for a dedicated Psychologist to provide high-quality mental health care in Pietermaritzburg. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, implementing therapeutic interventions, and participating in multi-disciplinary team discussions to ensure holistic treatment approaches.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments of client needs and goals.
• Develop therapeutic techniques tailored to individual needs.
• Provide recommendations for additional support services.
• Advocate for clients within the healthcare system.
• Facilitate support groups for individuals facing mental health challenges.
• Collaborate with educational professionals on student mental health.
• Prepare reports for social service agencies when necessary.
• Participate in professional workshops and conferences.
• Maintain a safe and confidential environment for clients.
• Engage in personal reflection and seek supervision when needed.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Clinical Psychology
• Registered Psychologist with HPCSA required

Experience

• 3+ years of clinical experience required
