We are on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. In this role, you will focus on designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to optimize our development processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS or Azure, and will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive innovative projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment processes using CI/CD tools.
• Monitor performance and ensure security compliance of cloud applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to optimize cloud services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues efficiently.
• Conduct backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in a related field is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud development
