Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable Insurance Underwriter to analyze and evaluate insurance applications, determining risks and establishing pricing. The ideal candidate will apply their analytical skills and expertise to assess and determine coverage limits, ensuring our clients receive the best protection at a competitive rate.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance applications and assess risks to determine eligibility.
• Develop and implement underwriting guidelines and policies.
• Analyze data and market trends to make informed underwriting decisions.
• Communicate with agents and clients to gather necessary information.
• Review and revise insurance policies to ensure compliance.
• Maintain accurate records of underwriting processes and decisions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to agents and clients.
• Identify areas for improvement in underwriting processes and procedures.

Requirements

Education

• Professional certification in underwriting (e.g. ACII, CPCU) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Economics

Experience

• 5+ years of underwriting experience
